Okay full story - 6 years ago I was a C.I.T. at Centennial day camp during the summer. You're basically a camper 3 days a week and C.I.T. with a specific bunk 2x a week. Anyways I had the 5-6 year old girls. They were soooo cute! My co-counselors (Elyse and Arianne) were awesome - so fun! I had the best month there. Anyways, there was this one kid I absolutely loved (favorite, much?) anyhow, Ida, her name was Ida, was super cute, freckled to the max, and super tiny. She'd cling to me and make me be her partner for all the activities and do swimming with her and all that. Went to Maromac second month and never saw/heard from her again until YESTERDAY.
So as we all know - I inherited the bantam girls soccer team... yeah anyways, there's 11 girls. All whom I had never met because they obviously started Bialik right after I had left it/a whole year later. Anyways, we've never crossed paths. Anyways one girl comes up to me after the introductions were made and goes you went to Centennial day camp right? and I was like yeahhh??? and she said, and I quote, "you were my favorite counselor!" anyways. it made my day. I was twice her age at the time! and here we are 6 years later and she still remembered who I was.
Basically, there were always counselors in my life who made a huge difference, people I'll never forget because they touched my life in some small or large way. It's incredible to think that I may have (or actually did!) do that for this little girl (who by the way isnt so little or cute anymore!)... anyways, I felt really good about it... still do. :)
That's all to report since I have loads and loads of work. Back to the reading - it awaits!
